Question Altered Clock Face - Have you seen this???

Hi All! I'm looking for a clock that has had the face altered. It's an idea to add alternate embellishments where the #s are placed; tea cup for the 4, metal numbers, words etc. It was done on an old fashion style, round face, alarm clock with the bells on the top. Has anyone seen this idea on TV, in a magazine??? Thanks for any leads!

Therese

Default I searched...

...in the Anything But A Card gallery for the word "clock." and this was the result: Clock
Some are actual clocks. Some just have the word clock in their description for some other reason. Take a look --- you might find inspiration and instructions.

I did see something on the order of that one day on Christopher Lowell's tv show - but he just used one of those super-cheap wall clocks from Wal-Mart and replaced the face with something he created on his computer. He just popped off the plastic front, took of the hands (gently so as not to bend them) and put his new face over the one that was already there. I would think that if you could find an old-time looking alarm clock with the bells on top that you could do the same thing. You'd need to be careful that none of your embellishments stick up high enough to block the clock hands, though.

Yep, I did this with the clock in my scramp room. Just a cheap clock from WalMart (I think it was $4.00) popped off the plastic front and decorated it. Popped the front back on and hung it on the wall.
