Default What is direct to paper technique

I saw a beautiful card in the gallery and it said she used direct to paper. What is that? Thanks for help.

Direct to paper (DTP) is a technique whereby you take your ink pad and rub it directly onto the paper. This technique -- and there are a million variations -- often works best with pigment inks, because they will spread out and can blend better than dye inks. The SU catalogue doesn't really feature this technique (at least I don't think it does).

By the way, if you put rubber stamping techniques into google, you will find this, and many other, techniques. Happy stamping!
