Default Wrought Iron Punch Techniques

I recently saw a post of the different variations of using the wrought iron punch but can't find it now that I need it. Could someone please post it? Thank you in advance.

Here it is. Isn't it amazing what you can do to alter one simple punch?

I agree..How do you do that? I have this punch and I thought it had some type of guard to "change" the punch.

Use the paper snips to cut out sections from punched paper.

i can't see the picture for some reason - have been having this trouble for a week or so after i installed a new hard drive. i see all the regular pictures in the gallery, etc. but not the attachments in these forum threads. anyone know if i need some program to view these? if possible, i'd love to get this in an email - i had it on my old computer, before it crashed. i am continually finding things i forgot i had lost - know what i mean? also lost 4years worth of family photos . that should be a reminder to all of you to back up your computers... sorry for the slight hi-jack...

You can also take the guard off and punch on the edge of the paper to make a border: here's a couple of examples--

On this one (above), I cut a tiny little piece out of each one with a craft knife.

Ok, dumb question here, but I don't know, so I guess it's really not dumb....How do you take the guard off the punch, is it easy and does it go back easy? Ok, I guess that was more than one question, but I really don't know.

Thanks so much....Kathy

Default EZ

It just pops right off and is easy to put back on. Guard is semi-flexible.

Okay Ladies,

I need help here also. I notice in a lot of postings that people refer to an attachment (as in Stenson71's reply on Jan. 16). She said "here it is." I am not seeing any attachment or link to a file. Can you help me understand what I need to do in order to see what I am missing. I know I need new glasses, but I don't think that is my problem in this case.

Thanks!

No, it's not a dumb question! Just hold the punch in your hands, and push the little "wings" on the base of it away from the punch. THat's all! And it snaps on the same way. Super easy, but it took me a long time to figure it out--I actually discovered it when I thought I'd broken a new punch!

Greatgrammy: Here's a thread from yesterday:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

I see, though, that you have registered. If you still can't see the attachments, PM one of the administrators. I use Jbalcer as my go-to-gal. She always fixes me up or tells me why I'm screwed. I got that "General Error" thingy when I tried to PM this. Now, you'll probably have it twice!

Default Wrought Iron Punch

I love the sample of the gate in Spring Garden using the wrought iron punch.
It is superb!
