Default Colouring "water" in a jar

Hi ladies.....I've seen so many beautiful cards on SCS using stamps of jars of water with flowers in them. Can anyone tell me how to 'colour the water'?

TIA

They may be using an aqua painter of blender pen with markers or crayons. Hope someone who has done this will be of more help than me. I'd like to know too!

Here's a short tutorial from Nicole Heady's (Papertrey) "Make it Mondays" blog showing how to color a jar with colored pencils. Check it out:

I paint with my watercolours. I take a lot of water and then put in a little blue, a little olive-green, a little brown (like muddy water ;)) and then colour the water.
