Talking Lemon Juice Aging

In today's gallery, stampinchickadee posted a WONDERFUL CARD. And the "Lemon Juice Aging" technique is easy to do.
Take a look...

I just had to try it out. Although I'll need to work on the ideas a bit more, here's what I did FAST....

Oh drat, I was all excited to see it and it's still pending approval. I'll check back in a little while, can't wait to see it. How do you do it?

It is only a matter of applying lemon juice to the stamped image. I used a sponge. Then heat it with a heat gun until it darkens to the shade you want.
Also if you go to google and type in "lemon juice aging" (including the quotes) you'll find a half dozen examples on different websites. I like the idea of using it on altered books.

I looked it up, doesn't look too hard. I think I will need to pick up a lemon at the grocery tomorrow.

Thanks - and I'll check back to see your card when it's approved!

Default Lovely card.

I agree - beautiful. This is a technique I will definitely try. Thanks for the clarification of instructions and ideas for getting more info. I just checked out the card, added a comment with questions, then came back here and read the answers! Should have continued to read before I asked...sorry.
