Question Advent Calendar from muffin tin?

Hey! I've seen a ton of places teaching classes on how to make these but I can't seem to find a tutorial anywhere, and as I've never actually seen one I can't just guess my way through it! Anyone know where I can find directions for making an Advent Calendar using a 24 cup muffin tin? Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!

here is another thread about these: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

and blog I found while searching, although there is more info in the thread above than here:
http://blackflipflops.blogspot.com/

The thread also says to sand lightly and paint with acrylics...
