I stick it on with a THIN layer of PVA, and then when it is dry (not before, or it can drag the paper), I go round with a SHARP blade trimming the paper to fit. If necessary I use the little Basic Grey Precision files to get into any awkward little nooks and crannies, and to smooth any rough edges.
More often than not I cut the paper a little larger than the chipboard, coat the chipboard with Tombow glue stick, smooth it with a bone folder or squeegee and then cut little slits in the paper up to the edge of the chipboard; I add glue to the excess, and fold the excess to the back of the chipboard. I like the look of having the edges covered.
They are just very small files/rasps - like a very dainty version of the DIY version for woodwork, LOL. There are two big ones a bit like emery boards for your nails, and the others are metal in various shapes suitable for getting into little nooks and crannies. An ordinary emery board will work fine for flatter edges, but the BG set wasn't that expensive so I've never regretted getting it.
