Default I love the faux wax seal technique!

I came across this technique on the web today and just love it! Have any of you played around with it? Here are some faux wax letters that I made earlier today. They are not stuck to the paper, just placed there so you can see. Please excuse the crappy photo, i can't seem to figure out how to work this new camera!

What's really nice about these is that they can go through the mail without breaking, unlike the real wax!

Here is what I did...

I placed a penny in a piece of foil and wrapped it tightly so you still see the outline of the penny. I used a penny so that all of the medallions would be roughly the same size. You could use any shape you like. Dip the flat edge of the foiled penny into versamark. This coats the foil so the medallion will peel off easily. I placed hot glue from my glue gun into the center of the penny and kept pumping until there was enough to fill the penny to the edges. Then, take any stamp you wish (I chose small letters), dip it in versamark and place into the center of the penny/hot glue. Hold it there for about a minute. After that, it should remain on its own. I allowed the medallions to set for about 2 minutes before GENTLY removing the stamp and the penny from the backside. So easy!

That's really cool. Do you have to wait until the glue cools just slightly before placing your stamp in it? My glue gun is really hot!!!
