There is a tutorial here on SCS. Go to resource and click on projects. Scroll down to Tile Coasters.

Also, I use StazOn ink and then I actually bake it for 15 - 20 minutes to set it before I color it. I then back it again after I color it. I spray seal it after it has cooled and I have had no problems. No complaints of the color running from anyone that I have given them to.

Good Luck.

What do you all usually sell a set of 4 coasters for, at a craft show. Any suggestions?

Default tile coasters

Hi- Just wondering what type of tile coasters everyone uses. I recently purchased some ceramic tiles with a matte finish. Has anyone used this type before? I read somewhere that porus tiles work best.....not sure what that means. Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks and have a good one!

The porous tiles look like stone and have ruts in them. Not smooth and shiney. I've made coasters out of them using versamark...Seal with Delta sealer....The shiney tiles I condition first with Delta conditioner, dry for few hours or over night. I don't think I've stamped on these, but painted. Sealed with the sealer. Hope this helps.
