No Copics?? NO PROBLEM !!
I made a card today, and tired to reproduce the look that so many amazing artists on SCS are getting with their Copics. Since this is my FIRST try, I can't say that it is fect, but I do likethe results and will keep trying. So what did I use - MY SU MARKERS!!! Here is my card :
http://splitcoaststampers.com/galler...0&ppuser=56969 I am hoping to have a tutorial on my blog in the next couple of days, so keep you mouse ready to click there, if you like the look but wanna save the $600! UPDATE! That is wonderful done! I think I need you to visit Nashville and come teach me how to use my markers that way.
Bravo!!! Great Job!!!!
Beautiful card!
Looking forward to your tutorial, but thanks for going ahead and sharing tips in your blog. :) |
That is just awesome! That is some GREAT coloring!! I can't wait for your tutorial either. I can't afford Copics... and would love to learn how to do this with regular markers!!
Great job!!! I have been wanting copic too--but can't afford them. I did find them at Hobby Lobby tonight---5.89 each with a 40% off coupon won't be as bad!
That is really cool! Been thinking about those Copics...hmmm...
Great job, Julie!
Very nice...looking forward to learning your techniques.
JULIE!!!! That looks amazing!! WOW- get that tutorial up girlie! You are too much!
Hugs, Gina K. |
If my coloring with my SU markers was half that good I'd be delighted! Mine just never seems to blend nicely.

That's so beautiful!! I'm looking forward to the tutorial!

Julie,
I've had some success with my SU WCWcrayons but I never consider my markers - because I can't get them to look anything but flat. You've done a terrific job, I never thought markers could produce the wonderful results you got. I'm lining up to wait for the tutorial too. Thanks for the amazing inspiration! |

Hard to argue with those results. VERY LOVELY! I will admit to loving my Copics, however. I'm just not anywhere near as capable as you are with regular markers, and need the "cheat" that Copic markers allow me!
What a great job!! I am just about done buying all the SU markers through a marker club, so I can't wait to see your tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Love your blog. I can't wait till you post the tutorial!!
Lovely card! I can't wait to see the tutorial!
Can a mod please put the link to the tutorial in the original post?? It would make it so much easier for those that click on so they can see it right away! Thanks, but if not, that is OK too :)
Great tutorial! I can't wait to try it. Using the aquapainter to remove the color is a brilliant idea!

Oh, Wow! This soooo works. After work I stopped and bought some 140# watercolor paper and set to work! The results were more amazing than anything my little hands have ever done. I had saved up nearly $120 toward my Copics purchase and now that money is going to be spent on Paper Trey stuff instead. I could just kiss you! SWAK!
