Neverending flip card

I saw a sample of a nevverending flip card that was very cool. It had four different views that appeared as it was folded in different ways. I tried to find a tutorial on-line and I did find one, but when I tried to duplicate it, I don't think it came out quite right, and it was nearly impossible to figure out how to decorate the different views without having the decorations show through to another view. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Can someone please do a tutorial or point me toward a good one? Thanks very much!

Ya know...

there is a tutorial, but I can't find it. I just made 3 of these! It is a little tricky to start. I put my example together using computer paper. It helped when I stamped on the spaces to see where I was in the process of folding and turning.

I'll keep looking, but maybe someone can help...

I have made these and they are HARD to decorate! I understand what you're sayig about getting images to coordinate! But I don't think they are supposed to!

It is hard to work out how to decorate them so that each layer works in its own right and when you flip over. I did one for my bro's birthday last year; it was my second one and I got it nearly right, but one bit of BG Colour me Silly showed where it wasn't meant to. So then I made a little mini version in blank white card, and coloured a different colour on each face, and a shape so it was easy to see if it changed orientation. Now when I'm making one, I can just flip through my little model to check how it progresses, and I haven't made any major mistakes since.

Coming out of lurkdom...

This sounds like a flexagon. I can't do links b/c this is only my 1st post.

This might not be exactly what you're looking for but they are fun to make.

You could also goggle flexahexagon.
