Default Album in a Box problem ................

I am making an Album in a Box for my husband. I noticed that the decorative paper I am putting on the "flaps" is separating from them at the bottom of the flap. I am using 3L Scrapbook Adhesives Mounting Squares. When I noticed that the decorative paper was separating from the flaps, I decided to adhere it better using Tombow clear liquid adhesive. Now the flaps are "hard". I haven't tried to adhere photos yet. I am not even sure that this will be a problem, but I am afraid it might. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Melinda
