need help with reverse grid technique
Saw a pretty card using Measure of a Life in the gallery, using the reverse grid technique. I've read about this technique and attempted to do it with my Scor It board. The directions said to place the grid on a sheet of craft foam while stamping; and the grid lines would go into the foam--and the stamped image would appear inbetween the lines. I could see almost all of my lines, going across the grids, even when I stamped as lightly as I could. Any hints for me??

make sure after you score to flip it over so that the raised score lines are face down....
here's a sample I did for the TJNL using Reverse Grid |
If you belong to Technique Junkie Newsletter, Pat has some wonderful projects using the Scor it in August issue.

thanks!
Thank you ladies for your replies . . . I guess I'd better be subscribing to the Technique Junkies Newletter!!
I got the flipping it over thing ok, but do you agree with the tip to stamp on top of craft foam. Maybe I should try it on a firmer surface?? Your card is beautiful . . . and your grid lines look nice and white!! Back to the stamping room :) |
Thanks! I don't use the foam - just flipped over the CS after it was scored, then stamped my image - pressing enough to get a clear image, but lightly enough not to get into the score lines. Then I took a lighter ink and used the DTP method to add more color. HTH

Thank you one and all for your help. Will try tomorrow, can't wait to see how everything turns out. Don't have a scanner so can't show but will tell you what has happened. Cheers
