Default wetting cardstock?

I was wondering about wetting down cardstock, stamping an image on it, and then wrinkling up the paper? What I want to do is stamp a leaf and make it look a little weathered. I thought someone had once told me that you can do that? Or is there a better way to do this?
Thanks so much!

Yup-works great!
I like to stamp 1st and then wet the paper and crumple so you can control how wet and faded the image gets.
Then you can dry it with a heat gun once you open it-it seems to "harden" the paper and give it a thicker texture.

Do you just wet the paper with a sponge?

You could use a spray bottle. Also, make sure your ink is waterproof!
