I am so frustrated. I finally created a Word document w/ pics and detailed instructions, I tried to upload it here, as an attachment, but I keep getting an error message. I finally emailed the moderator, so hopefully I will get this figured out soon. As soon as I do, I will attatch the file here.

Below, I copied and pasted my word document, but it's missing the inserted pics on it.....this is the best I can do, until I figure out why I can't upload an att: Sorry- If anyone out there can help me, please let me know, maybe I can email my document to someone who has the best ability to upload a file. I am willing to do that if that would be easier.

Instructions for Making a Mini Album
Out of Cardstock

Step 1: Take 2 12x12 cardstock of two different shades. Here I took

One shade lighter than the other. Cut 2 pieces of 6x12

Step 2: -picture below

I scored each piece right in the middle. I took the two darker shades, laid them lengthwise by each Other, then took 1 piece of the lighter shade, and laid on Top of the two darker pieces, letting it overlap a little, Leaving about an inch.

See below with it standing up, once glued- The two folds on each in, will fold over like a book coverthe very middle is where we will bind the pages.

Step 3- picture below

Fold the two ends over (inside), and take your eyelet setter or hole punchI used my silent setter, and a ruler to keep the holes lined up evenly. Punch how ever many holes you want right down the middle of book. (this is where the binding is and where you will Pull your ribbons through.

Step 4: pictures below,

Pick another 12x12 cardstock- a neutral color of choice. Here I picked vanilla. Cut in 2 pieces of 6x12 just like the cover. Score both pieces in the middle- punch the same holes right down the middle-on score.

Pick 3 or 4 different coordinating ribbon colors. After you lay the two vanilla pieces in the middle of inside book- take your ribbon, and from the inside- push through two holes at a time, turn book over, and tie. The ribbon can be as long as you like, depends on how much you want hanging on the bind. Keep doing this until All holes are filled.

Note: You can also string small stamped tags on the ribbons for an added touch! J

Step5: Picture below

Now, take your hole punch or setter again, and ruler. On the inside of the front cover, with the flap folded over, punch one hole in middle by the bind as you see here- then straight across the way, again by the opening through both layers. Do the same in the back cover of book.

Step 6: See picture below.
Now, Take a wider, more decorative ribbon here. I used one yard- but then had to trim alittle. First you push the ribbon through, from the outside of the book, by the bind. Push through to the inside cover, cross over the opening flap, and push through the other hole again, this ribbon will tie the book closed. It will not show across the front at all. Now, turn book back over again, and take the other end of the ribbon, I pushed it under the tied ribbons on the book bind- and did the same thing with the back cover..pushing through the opening by the bind, crossed over and pushed through opening on the other end.

See page 2 for the finished prodect..Start decorating!

Now, You are now ready to start decorating the inside pages, cover and back any way you like. I used of course cooridinating printed paper, and embellishments. See finished project below.

Posting for Susan ...

I converted the instructions into a PDF file.
HOWEVER, when you click on the file, nothing comes up :(
if you 'right click' with your mouse and select 'save target as' you should be able to save the pdf file and then open it independent of SCS.
if this doesn't work, I'm sorry! At least Susan was kind enough to post the text and her great pictures are in her gallery.

Hope this works!
