Default Journals

I have seen alot of extremely cute journals done on the gallery. I was wondering what type of journal do you need to purchase & if someone could give me instructions on how to go about creating one. I am really enjoying SCS and have learned so much. Thanks for everyones help.

My favorite journal is made from a composition notebook you can pick up just about anywhere! I like it because the covers are heavy like thick cardboard. What I do it cover the front and back of both covers with a neutral background paper - using a glue stick to stick down the corners especially, and trim off the excess with a craft knife. I line the edge up with the black binding of the composition book. Then I just decorate the cover(s) with anything - stamps, ribbon, torn specialty paper, findings, tags, paint, etc until I like the way it comes out!! Super easy to slip in my bag and take with me everywhere. I write EVERYTHING in my journal! Good luck and have fun!!

Thanks for the help. I am going to make some of these for party favors for my daughters 10th birthday party.

I'm going to try and find a small notebook and decorate it for my friend who says she needs something to write down sermon notes. (She wants to make sure her minister isn't repeating the same thing every Sunday. )

I have found that spray mount is a really easy way to put the background cover on.

At our Dollar Tree I have found paper covered composition books (4 for $1). A great deal! I have covered them completely with CS and added tags, cut outs, etc. on them. I just used the mono and a little of the sticky strip or is it terrifically tacky tape to adhere it to the composition book. Worked like a charm! I gave them as door prizes. And the guests loved them!
