Multi colored image?

How did they get the leaves various colors? I don't have any multi colored stamp pads.

Ink up your stamp with the lightest ink. Then take a second ink pad and ink over the light ink with the dark ink... then stamp!

I have not had any problems "contaminating" ink pads unless I accidentally start with the darker color first-- then it transfers to the lighter ink pad.

Thanks much! I wondered about this but didn't want to ruin any of my stamp pads.

Here's what I did......I used small daubers and sponged the 3 inks onto the actual stamp, then stamped the image. If I needed more ink in one spot then I just grabbed a dauber!

Yay, you did it! :)

If you have a stamp positioner, you can do multiple impressions to get multicolored images or different effects, like Lydia shows in this tutorial:

MISTI Marbling Tutorial - Splitcoaststampers

Here's another card I did using the MISTI with multiple impressions, and a combination of sponging and swiping. More samples on my blog HERE.

Pretty card Dina!!

I do use TH's stamp tool. I love, love, love it! Stamping is so much more enjoyable with all of the tools that are available to us.

On that card, it looks like they may have used the baby wipe technique. You drop re-inker colors on a folded baby wipe and use that as your ink pad. It is addictive to try.

Besides all the wonderful techniques already mentioned, you could use markers and color different sections of the image and either "huff" on it to moisten it a bit, or give it a quick spritz of water before stamping.

Hi Dina,
Your card is just stunning! I visited your blog and am wondering if you did a video tutorial on the spectacular background. All of the samples you posted are gorgeous! Even your ink (paint?) splatters are perfect!

Dina, that card is stunning! I think it would be a great topic for an upcoming video tutorial (hint, hint!).

Another request for a video tutorial for making Dini's breathtakingly gorgeous card (please and thank you.)
