If you goto the forums page ... see it on the yellow band at the top of SCS home page...then in the search box key in snowman soup, you'll get gallery items that are about this topic. HTH's

Snowman soup is hot cocoa, pepermint candy cane, marshmallow, and a hersheys kiss. You usually give this as a small gift.

Hope this helps!!

Gave several in mugs last year as small gifts. There is a poem to go with it.

Warm the hearts of good little boys and girls with a packet of Snowman Soup!
Assemble in a gift bag or small zipper food storage bag:
1 individual pack hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey's chocolate kisses
10-15 mini-marshmallows
1 small candy cane

Snowman Soup
Was told youve been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
Youll need to warm the spirit.
So heres a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
Its sure to do the trick!

I did these a couple of years ago for my kids' classes at school. I put the goodies in a ziploc bag ( I think sandwich size) and printed the poem onto square stickers, then stamped snowmen and snowflakes on the sticker. Used the same ingredients as laciann listed, except used regular size candy canes. Put the mini marshmallows into a small cello zip-top bag. The poem says:

If wintry weather is making you droop,
Here's the perfect trick!
Add hot water to chocolate dust,
And stir with a magic stick!
Throw in a kiss to give it flair,
And top with snowy goop
Make a wish and take a sip...
Tah-dah! Snowman Soup!

I sent them with DS and DD to school in mid-January when the Christmas rush was over and the blah days of winter were settling in and they just needed a little something fun! (Also got the candy canes for a steal since I got them after Christmas!)--Watch for hot chocolate mix packets to go on sale if you need a bunch, too! I ended up needing about 45 packets, so I went to Sam's...

HTH!

It is a small choclate (about the size of a medium grape) sort of in the shape of a tear drop, with a flat bottom, wrapped in foil.

When we did this at a class, we put all the ingredients into one of the pre-punched boxes... the one with a little handle on top. Added a large tag with the poem and a snowflake brad to hold it on.

Here's what Hershey's Kisses look like---

or check out their website--- http://www.hersheys.com/kisses/home.asp

Hard to believe these aren't available everywhere! Guess we just take it for granted. Love 'em!

When I do snowman soup (for teacher gifts) I buy a cute coffee mug, dip plastic spoons in chocolate, and get "designer" baggies of hot chocolate, and a candy cane. It makes such a cute gift.
