Mistake on candle
Hi there,
I just recently did a candle for a pair of horsey friends of mine that are getting married, my question is this: Is there any way to erase a mistake on a candle? I put thier names a little crooked on the finished candle, do I just embellish it or is there a way to undo my mistake? Should I just go and redo a candle (this meaning that I would have to drive 45mins to the store to get another blank one with gas being at $1.19/litre) Any and all answers will be most appreciated, Angie |
Wow, this is a tough one. Is there another place on the candle that you could readily place the names again? If so, I would either embellish over the existing names or drip new wax from a different candle over the crooked names and press some little design in it while warm (like a wax letter seal). I'll have to keep thinking on this one.

thank you very much for your advice, i will try to do something with it, I still have the other side that I can put their names on but I wasn't sure what to do with the side that currently has it.

If you can find the edge of the tissue paper, just heat it up, peel it off and re-place it and heat it up again. It'll smooth out and be good as new!
If you didn't do the tissue paper version, then I don't know... Ann |

Thank you very much!!!!! It worked like a charm......I also took Annette suggestion into consideration and didn't let the heat tool get too terribly hot. I heated it until it was somewhat shiny and then peeled it off!!!! There was a small indentation where the names where but then I put a piece of wax paper over it and heated it again. VIOLA!!! GOOD AS NEW!
THANKS SO MUCH TO THE BOTH OF YOU...THIS IS THE REASON WHY I LOVE THIS BOARD! Angie |

Angie, love it! :-) The horses are a neat element, running around the whole thing.
