Mirror Image Stamping

Does anyone know how to do this technique?

I am not sure if that card was done like this, but I have seen people stamp on one side of vellum and then turn it over and stamp again. I can't tell if that is what they did there. If there is another way, I would love to find out too!

Mirror stamping
 

I haven't had much luck with this, but there are big blank stamps with flat surfaces that are sold to be used for mirror stamping. You first ink up the stamp that you want to mirror. Then you stamp that onto the blank stamp. Then stamp that stamp on to cardstock. My problem has been getting the mirror image to be as dark as the first image that is directly stamped onto cs. The second image in my experience seems to be too light.

But I have to admit, I haven't tried it for a long time especially with the juicier stamps pads, like the Brillance ones.

I have stamped on acetate then turn it over on your paper and rub. You can see
just where you missed an area this way. You can also use wax paper the same
way. Stamp the image then turn the wax paper upside down on your paper and
rub. You might have to practice with the pressure of your fingers to get darker
images.

Since a reflection in a pond (such as you might make using the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp) is not usually as bright as the actual trees themselves, don't worry about how bright it is.
(1) Stamp the row of trees on the cardstock.
(2) Stamp the row of trees on wax paper.
(3) Carefully flip the wax paper over onto the cardstock.
(4) Press down just a little.
Hint: works best on regular cardstock -- not on glossy

Here is what I do:

REVERSE STAMPING
--Ink up your stamp with and stamp your image on your CS
--Ink up your stamp again
--Lay the stamp on its back, rubber side up
--Use your brayer and roll it over the inked rubber (this will reverse your image)
--Eyeball where to start rolling the brayer on the CS to align with your previously stamped image (This is a little tricky at first because you also have to make sure that you start rolling the brayer at the right place.)
--Clean stamp

I have a card in the gallery using this technique as a reflection using a lighter color for the reflection.
