Question Ways to use punches?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a list out there of different ways to use punches? I'm trying to compile a file on it so I can demo them. I have a few punches now and would love to own them all some time! Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

TIA!

GO PATS!!!!!

I came across a beautiful medallion on a card in the gallery this week made from the wrought iron punch. I saved it to my favorites so I'd remember. She was wonderful enough to include the directions so we could make them too.
Here is the card.

Please share your list when it's done! Thanks.

The link is not to a card but rather a two page SB spread. I'd really be interested in seeing the card...or if you know who's gallery it's in. TIA

Sorry about the link that went to my sb page for a challenge. :(
This is the card I wanted to share shown in the link above.

I made one on a card today and it is so simple and so very pretty! I could see it done in copper and mounted on Navy or the other way around!

Have a great night,
Barbara

You can remove the corner guide on the wrought iron punch and make a border across the card. I wish I had taken a picture of the thank you card I made before I sent it. It is really nice looking.

Default tag punch

I was just trying to figure out how to upload my picture of this, but I can't figure out how to make it smaller to fit. Anyway, as usual, by accident, I found out that with the tag punch you can make wine glasses and stop signs. Wine glasses are the scraps left when you punch two tags on the same strip facing each other. Stop signs (octagons) are when you punch a tag, put it back in facing the other way and punch again. See if it works.

Here's a card I made only with punches and I have a couple more in my gallery, too. Never learned thumbnails, sorry.

I took the SDU scrapbooking classes at my local shop and in the advanced courses, we were taught a class on using punches. The class was very detailed and a little on the complicated side, but very interesting. My favorite design was using the large daisy punch and then with the Irish punch decorating the petals with a lacy design. It looked great mounted on a medallion.

one way i know of is too take a srap piece of cardstock and put it through your punch. then placeing it wherever, use it as a stencil by applying chalks over it. then you can get a softer look than gluueing a punched out peice of paper on your layout. this works really well for soft snowflakes. useing a snowflake punch, punch out your template and over a darker background, color in the snowflake with whit chalk. have fun!!

I primarily use mine as paper weights. Does that count? LOL! Seriously. Why did I buy these? I could use a list myself!
