alter an altoid tin

create a pocket card that opens and has a notch or oval cut out to display the card

We made a pocket card for gift cards in stamp club last week--I will try to upload it later today.

Here's my idea. It's quick and simple.

Thumbs up gift card presentations

One year I did the empty water bottle thing, where you take the label off and slit the bottle, slip the card and some raffia in, then stamp a new label and maybe add a bow. They will wonder just how you got it in there.

This year I am trying something new. I can't quote where I heard it, but I am cutting my vegetable cans off on the bottom with a saftey can opener, adding the gift and gluing the bottom back on with glue. Then I am going to stamp a new label, such as "emergency chocolate supply" "mad money" "ememrgency craft fund" or someother saying. They will have to go to the can opener to see what is inside. I think it will be funny, especially for my boy who thinks he knows "everything!"

Hope this helps!
