metal edge tag shakers

Can any one give me the directions for making shaker cards out of the metal edge tags? I have one but can't seem to remember the steps to putting it together. Thanks!

There are directions available if you subscribe to the Technique Junkies Newsletter. You can find out more about this at:
http://www.patstamps.com
If you decide to subscribe, and it took me a couple of years to decide to do it, you will find that many of the techniques you see on this site come from people who do subscribe- and it has really taught me alot!!! Now, I am totally hooked- cannot imagine not being a 'Junkie'!!!
Oh, if you do take the plunge, please mention my name and tell her I sent you!!!

SLIDE HOLDER SHAKER BOXES
Submitted: May 20, 2003

"Since slide holders seem to be a great trend in embellishing scrapbook pages, why not turn them into shaker boxes too?

1 Take your slide mount and trace around the outside of it on a piece of cardstock and cut. This will be the background piece of your shaker box.

2. Cut the window for your shaker box from a page protector a ½ inch larger than the slide’s window and rub it with a fabric softener sheet. This will keep your shaker pieces from clinging together with static electricity.

3. Mount the page protector on the backside of the slide mount using photo adhesive squares or a tape runner.

4. Trim and adhere double-sided foam tape (4 pieces) to go around the edge of the page protector, leaving the removeable backing of the tape exposed. Make sure it’s far enough away from the window so none of the tape shows from the front.

5. Fill the box with beads, glitter, punches or confetti.

6. Remove foam tape backing and place background piece on for an instant shaker box.

Another suggestion is to decopage the slide mount with tissue, wrapping or newspaper for an added colorful effect prior to making it into the shaker box."
