MAT PACK HELP
I love all the faux stitching cards you all make. So, I just bought the mat pack. HOW DO I USE IT? There are three squares. Which one do I place under my cardstock? Which size holes do you recommend? Will the paper piercer makes holes in the mat? How do I get the cardstock to stay in place while I pierce the holes? THANKS MUCH.

Ok, how I use is... the foamy thick black pad is you base for the piercing. Place you CS on top of pad. Place your clear plastic template on top of CS. I usually line either the top of template or the ruler line along the top of CS. I use the little holes. Sometimes I skip every other hole... depends on size of stitches. Then use the awl to punch little holes. As far as how to hold it together... just keep you fingures pressing it down... I suppose you could use a removable adhesive... but I don't. You can also use the awl to place holes for brads... the bigger holes can be used to line up and punch holes for eyelets. Use the flat mat for the eyelets and anywhere hole punch... Hope this helps!

the faux stitching is such fun....
place the foam mat down.... put the cardstock piece that you want to "stitch" on top of that.... now line up the hole template over where you want the stitching......you might just start with the outside holes and see what you like. Just hold down the hole template and pierce with your other hand.....the paper not your hand.......lol |
oops, Kim.....I should have refreshed my screen before answering
Your response was much more professional.....lol |
