Default Make Your Own Acrylic Accents

So I just bought some little brown notebooks from Target and they were a two pack held together with some plastic (thicker than saran wrap and thicker than window sheets/transparencies, but more flimsy than the stamp boxes the SU stamps come in).

Anyway, not wanting to just toss the stuff, I wondered what I could do. So I punched them (it worked easily for me, but results may vary ). I've attached a picture of the pieces. I colored mine with sharpies (some really awesome pastel colors!).

I can see using these on my SB pages just like the 'ghost' ones (is that Heidi Swapp?).

I'm just sharing the find! Have fun!

Very cool idea! A little DD or glitter could make them all sparkly!! OK, so now don't tell me that I'm going to be buying stuff not for the item, but for the wrapping that "normal" people throw away!?!?!?!?!;) ;)

What a neat idea! Thanks for sharing.

Just got the light bulb flashing in my face... why not save the other part of your plastic (with the hole) and use it as a stencil? Someone on here a while back said that you can use punched SU! cardstock as a dry embossing template... maybe this would work too? Also... use it as a stencil combined with a finger dauber/sponge... you could even use pigment inks and emboss it

Wow! Thanks again for sharing this idea... I'm off to try it out in a few minutes... wait! Gotta go buy some little brown notebooks first LOL

I've also done something close to this with clear acetate you can get from Wal-Mart or office supply stores, but didn't think of using the packaging from store bought items....thanks for sharing.

Great idea! I hadn't gotten that far, but I'm sure I would have tossed it when I was done...now I will hang on to it!
