Default Question about Micro Bead Pens with bic round stic

I am wondering how you put the lid back on after putting the beads on a bic round stick pen? Do you just leave the lid off and give the pen without a lid?

I tried them for the first time last night. I love them! I also did a candle that I stamped and then covered. It turned out absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for any help or tips.

If I want to put the lid back on the beaded Bic pens, I only bead the bottom 4 1/4". That leaves enough room for the lid.

We'd love to see pics of your creations!

I left room for the lid, also! It was really fun. I did the beaded pen with the instructions from QueenPennyWise! I am going to do these pens with a bunch of 11-12 year olds this weekend so hopefully it will go well!!

Good Luck

I do the end without the point - but that means you have nowhere to put the cap when you want to write - which came worse - no cap on one end or the other?

I've beaded pens with the lids on and then with them off. I personally don't like the way the pens look when the cap is off. The beads just stop and I don't like that so I make all my beaded pens with the caps off.

Default Beaded Pens

How do you do the beaded pens? What do you use to keep the beads on? I know you would use the micro beads, but the adhesive is what I'm wondering about. Thanks in advance for any help!!

You need to use sticky tape - SU sells it only in the 1/4" width. Pennywise sells in a variety of widths and full sheets - is great stuff

I was also wondering about stamping under the beads? Do you stamp on sticky paper and then put the sticky tape over the image and then put the microbeads on? Does the stamped image show through the clear microbeads? I can't imagine it would show through. If anyone knows please share the directions on how to make pens such as these two links!

PLease let me know. I have all the pens and beads and sticky tape now wnat to delve in!

Thanks ahead of time!

I stamp on label "paper" color in as desired. Then stick on the pen and put the sticky tape over and clear microbead. Yes, the design shows thru. Is just softened up a bit. Word of advise - DON'T line up the seams. Make a bigger edge.

Thanks so much! I didn't want to waste any beads or paper experimenting!

I just love those pens! They will make great gifts for my girl's friends!
