Default Rusty Grungeboard ...

I recently saw a sample of this but have no clue how to go about achieving the look. Any advice would be appreciated.

It's on page 45 of Tim Holtz' boon, "A Compendium of Curiosities." There are lots of examples here: Studio L3: Compendium of Curiosities Challenge 26!

here is a link to a video, mainly you need distress embossing powder. His book is great and the best resource for any techniques that use his products.

I know there are lot of videos showing the techniques and I saw one that showed (and explained) each page, but I don't think it's fair to Tim (or any author) to have the exact technique shown. Just my humble opinion.

I agree, but there are tons on vids on this particular technique, I think because Tim demoed it on his site long before the book came out. I think perhaps this tech, is exempt from that rule - IMHO But certainly all the techniques is not ok. I don't see a problem if it is one he has a free video on too.
Welcome to Timholtz.com
to original poster - You should get the book if your interested in all of his techniques, I own it and its awesome.
