Question Incorporating Machine Embrodery

My background is sewing & machine embrodery. A number of friends are into stamping. I recently read a magazine that I never saw before 'Embrodery & Paper' from Creative Embrodery.

Has anyone here combined machine embrodery with their stamping? This has gotten my interest.

Thank you.
Sue

I'm not much of a seamstress but I did try out my machine on this card.

I've tried out a lot of the stitches on my machine. Most of them work great. You do have to watch out if your stitches are so tight and or so close you end up cutting a hole in your cardstock.
I don't have one of the machines that do the real fancy embrodery. It would be awesome to embroder a image on fabric then punch a hole in the cardstock and mount your artwork behind the punched hole.
samiot I think I might have the same magazine you have. Lots of cool ideas in there!

I do both! I have tried embroidery on cardstock. All my built in stitches work well. I do lengthen them a bit so they do not perforate a section out of the card.
I have broken down some of my designs and put them on cardstock too.I find the outline or redwork style works best. I have even chosen just the final black stitching of a design and put that on a card.
It's fun to do the stitching for a leaf or blossom without thread in the machine. It leaves a beautiful design. I use titanium tip needles. The paper dulls the regular needles quickly.
