I made one last year around St. Patrick's Day - look here. There are many ways to make them, and while I didn't use dental floss, but regular sewing thread, I think it's basically the same as what you are describing. I didn't use stamped images for the "hangie-down" parts, but instead used stickers that I already had with the thread sandwiched between the images. HTH

I use thin rubber string for my 'spinner cards' (found in the bead isle of craft stores). I wind up the butterflies before closing the card and when you open it, the butterfly spins. I will be curious to know if floss works the same as the rubber string.

Wow - spectacular butter fly card...so very pretty. I'm sure there are many things to use to hang your "danglies"...it will be interesting to see what others use.
