Question glass ornaments and tissue paper?

Please can someone help? I have searched the forums and obviously can't find or don't know the exact term I should use to pull up which technique I am looking for- There were people doing the glass ball ornies w/ tissue paper stamped images inside the glass balls- I know to stamp the image w/ staz-on (I think)- but I could swear the instructions were specific for using Stampin' Up only products which means no coloring in w/ sharpies...?? Can anyone tell me what they have done/ used so they get a nice clean colored image adhered to the inside of the glass ball w/out any smearing of color?? the acetate technique seems nice but not specifically for what I am trying to do... I would really appreciate anyone being able to give me some help w/ this-

Arrow sharpies, embossing

I found a couple of bits of information.

In this thread, Christmas Balls <--click! , InkStazOnMe posted the following (she used Sharpies...to prevent smearing):

I used a pipe cleaner to press the image against the sides of the ornament. Make sure the entire thing is pressed against the side. Be careful, because the tissue paper will tear easily! Once the Varnish dries, it will be clear, and your image will be nice and clear too!

And here, Qbee embossed the images:

And she found her instructions here (similar to the ones above):

I hope this helps! Let us know what you try and your results!

Default Thank-You!

Avonlea,
Thanks so much for the reply- I will try the embossing thing (sounds vaguely familiar) I knew there was something everyone was doing so it came out nice and no smears but still using SU products- if it doesn't work for me I suppose I'll go with the acetate method - Wonder if coloring in w/ a mixture of Crystal Effects and re-inker would work?? Hmm? Maybe I'll try that & post how it comes out!
