Default gel/glass look?

I saw something at my demo's house a while back that looked sort of like clear embossing over a stamped image, but it was shinier and more glass-like. It seemed to be pretty thick too. Is there a technique that does this? I have never used Crystal Effects or Pearl Ex and I wonder if it was something like this. Do you know if that was what it was? I tried to get the same look with clear embossing, but it just did not seem right. I am assuming it was something from SU since she got it from her swap on her cruise. I haven't had a chance to ask her about it. But her stash from the cruise was quite wonderful! Thanks!

It sounds like Crystal Effects!! It takes a while to drie but you can get a thick layer over an image. Hope that helps

I will order it tomorrow, so we will see. Thanks! I think I am going to have to set a monthly limit on my purchases...but I just got the new summer mini catalog, so I guess my limit will have to wait or be stretched! At least this is a healthy addiction! Can't wait for JULY!

Could be UTEE. SU's version is Glassy Glaze. It is a really corse clear embossing powder. To get the really smooth, thick surface you need to apply about 3 layers. Apply Versamark, sprinkle with UTEE, heat, quickly apply more UTEE, heat, etc. Until you achieve the effect you want.

Also, after it cools you can carefully bend the paper to crack it. Makes a neat cracked glass effect.
