Question How can I make a cotton candy stamped image look fluffy???

I am making a bunch of cards that have a little boy holding a cone of cotton candy. I colored it in light blue and am trying to figure out a way to make it "fluffy" so it actually looks like cotton candy. The only thing I have right now is taking little pieces of cotton off a cotton swab, pressing it over and over into a light blue ink pad and then trying to shape it a little and gluing it on. There must be a better way!!! Does anyone have any suggestions for me??? Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't used it yet, or even have it in my stash of stuff, but what about the Flower Soft product? I have seen images of birds and animals using this product so it might work for cotton candy images.

SCS Wednesday tutorial is about Flower Soft and they had some information on it as well. It looks like some really fun stuff to have. In fact I just placed an order with 7 Kids College Fund for some Flower Soft.

or you could tear apart a pink cotton ball
i know some stores. usually dollar stores carry colored cotton balls
you might try to color a regular cotton ball w/ ink or chalks.

That is what I would suggest. It comes in a bunch of different colours and there is a sample kit you can buy with 12 little bottles all different colours.

You could also use the flour and salt mixture - equal parts salt, flour, and water - make a paste (you can tint with re-inkers). Put the paste on the area you want to have texture, then use a heat gun to dry and it will puff up as it "cooks".
