coloring stamped/printed transparencies???
I want to try using stamped/colored transparencies on my cards. I have stamped & printed out some, but don't have a clue what is the best source to color them in with. I know you color from the backside, and I tried my copics and they don't seem to work. Any help will be appreciated.

What was the problem with your Copics? They should work fine. You'll struggle to get smooth colour over a large area with them but they should lay down colour and for smaller areas they're perfect for the job. You need to use pretty strong shades before you'll see anything - remember that your alcohol ink is transparent so when you're laying it on a transparent surface it needs to be one with more pigment in order to show up. Try laying your transparency on white paper as you colour (and mount your finished piece over a light coloured panel on your project).
I have no experience with Copics. I've used Sharpies for details but never tried to colour a large area with them. Sakura Glaze pens are also good, but a very limited range of colours. I've also used alcohol inks successfully, so like Joanne I'd have expected Copics to work fine.
Depending on your image, glitter on the back of the transparency would also look great!

Another vote for Sharpies. They have such deep rich colors. Bics would probably work too. Copics are so pretty on transparencies but I noticed too they are more "see through". Best description I can think of now. Layering colors with Copics is a good idea.

Thanks ladies for all your tips, I finally got my Copics to work, just needed to use the darker colors. Now another ?? what is the most recommended way of mounting to a card front. I know you should layer on a light background, but is there any preference to types of frames etc. Thanks again for all you help???
