Kids' project with no resources
 

Hi There! That's the best title that I could come up with for what I am trying to say.

I am participating in a kids craft event next month. Parents are paying $5 for a project, per kid. I need to come up with something fun and that show off stamping. I thought about a mini altered clipboard but I won't have electricity to heat set the craft ink and I'm worried that mod podge is too messy. Is there a way to make them without any of the above, maybe just stamp a bottom sheet of cardstock and attach with glue sticks or something???? I can paint the clipboards ahead of time so I'm not worried about that.

Or - if you have any other ideas I would greatly appreciate it!

I did craft for entire school. We did the beaded pens using the bic pens, stamping on large size labels. Penny wise arts has all the supplies and directions

Depending on the age of the kids and your time frame to work in what about fridge magnets? Have the kids stamp out animals, bugs, flowers etc... cut out glue to magnet and if they have time put a thin layer of Glossy Accents or clear drying glue to make it shiny.

I did a whole kids stamp camp this summer where the kids did a craft project AND a 2 page 6x6 spread every week. The craft projects I did were:
canvas bag (they stamped with their name & added other decorations in craft ink)
backpack tags (they LOVED this!!!)
shaker card
spinner card
post it note holder (out of a 4x6 acrylic frame)
picture frame

I find my grandkids that range in ages 6 to 11 can do any project that I have ever done in my stamping parties! Kids are amazing! Waterfall card, gum holders, embossing, you name it and they do great.........no inhibitions!

I'm not certain what the clipboards need the craft paint for --- do you emboss it? If not, why not use the acrylic paint from the WMart Craft area. They dry quickly enough - just give the children something else to work on while it is drying. Would Stazon work for a permanant image? Don't know how to do a clipboard, but these are alternatives I would try for a substitute on my projects.

I haven't done anything with these yet but I found some clear, memo sized (5x8) clipboards at Walmart. I'm thinking that I can stamp on white paper and adhere on the back (it will show through on the front but not interfere with the clipboard's surface!).

My 7 year old DS and I just covered a chipboard clipboard and notebook from the dollar store. He glued all the paper on himself and then modpodged over it too. He did really well because I precut all the pieces. It's just an idea for you. My 8 year old niece loves to cover comp notebooks and make stamped bookmarks. She and I also made a name frame but that might be over the $5 you were saying the parents were paying. You could just have them stamp something with staz on. I wish I was doing something like this. It sounds like fun!
