jumbo paper clips
Do you have to use chipboard on these clips? I want to share at a class but I'm a little confused. Any help would be appreciated.

I just made one and used strong cardboard with it. It works...but I like coasters better for it.

Here are some instructions using chipboard: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...40#post4381340
Hope this helps...some people have also used a cereal box which is thinner and you can decorate with patterned paper. You can also use die cuts. I bought a die cut chipboard pack at Jo's for only $9.99 about a week ago (retail value is $24.99) - great deal! |
i just used a circle punch with paper and then put glue on the paper and laid the paper clip on it will be posting a picture when its done

Instead of the chipboard shapes you can punch out several pieced of cardstock and glue them together. Works as well as chipboard.

hopefully not too dumb a question
Are these paperclips the normal "jumbo" paperclips you buy at an office supply store (nikel plated, 100/box, 2") , or are these bigger than normal clips found at a craft/hobby store?

I have also seen gold toned jumbo clips at Staples. They were $2.99 for 10 clips (or maybe only 6, I don't remember). |
Thanks Sue!!

when I make my giant paper clip bookmarks, I use these great paperclips I found at Office Max. They are "gold' colored and look so much more fancy and nice than the regular metal color ones. . .
