Make your own pink (or any colour) washers
This was slightly discussed on another thread, when substituting one thing for another.
I use washers. I love washers, but all I have a silver coloured ones and different colours would be useful - so I colour them myself. This technique is so simple your kids could (almost) do it.
You will need:
Your washer
Versamark or equivalent
Embossing powder of the desired colour
Heat embossing tool
A fireproof surface
A metal tool for lifting the hot washer
A small holder for the embossing powder - larger than the actual pot.
Okay, get your washer and cover it with versamark and onto the sides and inside hole a bit as well.
Sprinkle on your embossing powder - lift the washer and tamp off excess powder.
Heat with the embossing tool - then quickly lift the washer and dump it embossed side down into the powder again. Tamp off excess powder and again use the heat too. Again put it into the powder. I find three dunkings into the powder and heating gives the best result.
You have to work pretty quickly so the heated powder is still wet but hot to redunk it into the powder. Also make sure you heat evenly or all the wet powder will drip off to one side and look abit funny.
I buy washers by the box of over 100 so I practice if I have to.
I haven't tried it, but if you got a red stazon and used whitish or hologram clear powder, dunking it as above, you would probably get a similar but sparkly colour.
