Instructions for Dragonfly Reds card

Several people have asked how I made my Dragonfly Reds card, so Im posting the instructions here. The card is at http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.co...cat=500&page=1

I used instructions from Nancy Currys book, Texture Effects for Rubber Stamping. Its an excellent book, by the way. One which I recommend. In my own words, this is what I did.

(1) Stamp dragonflies in clear resist or Versamark ink on glossy cardstock.
(2) Apply red inks (Rose Red, Rose Romance and TAC Rustic Red) to cardstock with cosmetic sponges, starting with the lightest and working toward the darkest. The dragonflies will pop out where theyve resisted the ink.
(3) Stamp over the resisted butterflies with Rustic Red, intentionally being off center so that you see both the resist AND the dark red dragonflies.
(4) Create soft background dragonflies by stamping off Rustic Red TWICE before stamping on the piece. You want them to be very faint and dreamy.
(5) Stamp sentiment with black dye ink.
(6) Spray with sealer. (I recommend Krylon Low Odor Matte fixative.) This is a very important step it keeps the ink at the surface of the cardstock. If you dont do this, your dragonflies will be less distinct and sort of meld into the background. You might want that look, though, just warning you in advance.

I hope Ive explained that well. If you have any questions Ill check back in this thread to answer them.

So you don't emboss the resisted dragonflies?
