Inking Background Stamps
I just got some new background stamps and I'm wondering whats the best way to ink them.
Thanks! |
I've found the best way for me to get even ink coverage on my background stamps is to use my rubber brayer to ink up the stamp itself.

I just spank my stamps with the ink pads to get good coverage. I then put the paper on top of the stamp and cover with a piece of grid paper or computer paper. I rub all over the surface. This gets a great background image.

I do both! LOL I ink up the stamp, twisting slightly as I push down, and then I also ink up the brayer and run the brayer over the stamp to get the best coverage.
Then I have the stamp on my table rubber side up and carefully put the paper on top, then place a piece of scrap copy paper over that, hold one side down and rub the other side, and switch :) |
Thanks for the help because I've been having some issues with a couple of mine.
