Inking Background Stamps

I just got some new background stamps and I'm wondering whats the best way to ink them.

Thanks!

I've found the best way for me to get even ink coverage on my background stamps is to use my rubber brayer to ink up the stamp itself.

I just spank my stamps with the ink pads to get good coverage. I then put the paper on top of the stamp and cover with a piece of grid paper or computer paper. I rub all over the surface. This gets a great background image.

I do both! LOL I ink up the stamp, twisting slightly as I push down, and then I also ink up the brayer and run the brayer over the stamp to get the best coverage.
Then I have the stamp on my table rubber side up and carefully put the paper on top, then place a piece of scrap copy paper over that, hold one side down and rub the other side, and switch :)

Thanks for the help because I've been having some issues with a couple of mine.
