Default Wax Paper Resist

Does anyone have instructions or can you explain how to do wax paper resist? I saw a card somewhere that was so beautiful....

Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I taught this wax paper resist background technique at a stamp camp a few years ago. You will need:
Two pieces of 1/4 sheet glossy cardstock
Waxed paper cut or torn about 1/2" larger than glossy cardstock
Two pieces of printer paper or multipurpose paper
Iron

You'll make a sandwich like this:
On your ironing board, lay one piece printer paper
On top of that lay one piece glossy cardstock, glossy side UP
Crumple waxed paper, then smooth it out and layer on top of glossy CS
Put your remaining glossy CS on top of this, glossy side DOWN
Then put remaining printer paper on top of your sandwich

Then, using your iron set on a dry setting, such as cotton, iron over your sandwich for about 15 seconds. When you peel apart the sandwich you'll have two pieces of glossy cardstock with waxed paper "wrinkles" on them. Brayer over this using a Spectrum pad or plain Classic pad, and you'll get a wonderfully patterned background!

I couldn't find my directions for this, so am going by memory, but maybe someone else will have more detailed instructions. Hope this helps!

If you're looking for a subtle version of this, you can take a 1/4 sheet of glossy paper (or whatever size you need) and lay it face up. Next, take a piece of wax paper slightly larger than your glossy paper and crumble it all up, then flatten it back out. Brayer over your wax paper with whatever colours you like. Place it face down on top of your glossy paper and brayer over the back. Remove wax paper and you have a very nice 'frosted window' type effect. This is what mine ended up looking like. I cased this from another wonderful card in the gallery (though I don't remember whose it was, sorry).

Thanks for sharing the picture! I want to do a background class soon. I'm definitely adding this technique to the list!

I have just discoved wax paper resist and would love to see some samples of it used on cards. When I clicked on the link in KGidgets post, I couldn't find the card referred to. Can you give me any help or any more pictures that I can see?
Thanks so much!
