Default need pure color pencil techniques...

I jsut got a set of pure color pencils and franky don't know what to do with them. Are they jsut used as color pencils or is there something fun you can do with them? Just curious.

Could someone please tell me what blending stubs are and where to get them?
TIA

Blending stumps, also called tortillions are found at Michael's and other craft and hobby stores. They are a tightly rolled paper with a pointed end that are used for blending all kinds of mediums. I've seen them in with the stamping stuff at Michael's, but the larest selection for various sizes and packages are in with all the pencil crayons and other art supplies at Michael's. The Gamsol which is a brand name for odorless mineral spirits are also carried at Michael's under the Mona Lisa brand name. Hope that helps.
