This may have been discussed in an earlier thread, but as I'm new to this wonderful site, I haven't seen it.
Anyone have some hints, tricks, info... on how to use Perfect Pearls. I recently bought numerous shades and brushed, dabbers, etc.. but can't get a result that I like.
Thinks for any directions you can share !
I love this site and all the great tips y'all give !
I LOVE my perfect pearls! I usually color an image (with watercolors or inkpad) and then use my aquapainter to make it shimmery. I like to just take the PP from the lid, then it's not so gloppy. My favorite one to use is the white one -- it will make anything shimmer.
Thanks for the help -
Jennifer - what is an aquapainter ? Do you mix the PP with water and use a brush ? Thanks again for your help !

Aquapainter is a brush with a hollow plastic handle. you fill the handle with water. Then you dip the wet brush into a little of whatever color, ink, or pearls you are painting with.
You can buy an aquapainter from your SU demonstrator or at some local shops.
I used a regular (and super cheap) paint brush, dipped in a little water and then in perfect pearls to brush the shimmer over images. I have also rubbed them into freshly embossed images with a cotton swab, but that can be messy! You might just try experimenting with q-tips, paint brushes or whatever else you have on hand to get a feel for working with them.
