Ok, I've seen several samples in the gallery with a dye technique and I love it!!! My question is . . . . HOW DO YOU DO IT???? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Not sure which "dye technique" you are talking about.

Can you include a link to one of the samples so I can see?

Maybe I can help.

I'm not sure how to do that, but it was in the photos uploaded 1 day (I saw them on Sunday). The "dye" was in the key words section.

Are you talking about the Dye examples that Beate uploaded from the Show Me Fair? Aren't they cool? If I remember right, she said that they used reinkers to dye paper, etc. I'm sure she'll jump on and answer a question here. . . I'll send her a pm ;).

I LOVE to dye stuff ~ Making Memories has a great resource on all sorts of things you can do with dye that are easily adapted to using liquid color like the reinkers. Check it out at your local scrap store!

Can't wait to hear about the dye technique ... and the disappearing image cards ... and the iris folding .... Beate is going to be busy! :D

Thanks to Beate for uploading all those pictures to the gallery!

Roxanne Kennedy demonstrated Dying Card stock with Classic Ink Refills. Here are her instructions :

- Pour small amount of water into shallow dish.
- Add a few drops of ink refill. Mix.
- Place cards stock into dish. The water and ink should completely cover the cardstock.
- Let soak until desired color is achieved (about five to ten minutes).
- Remove card stoc from dish and let dry.
- If desired, you can stamp with craft ink directly onto the dyed cardstock.

Thanks for that info Beate! Is it the same for glossy CS? I saw the little boxes we sell that were dyed. I love that look!! Plus you can make the white boxes any color you want! Please share

I use the shaving cream paper and dyes to get the marbled look on my paper. It looks pretty cool, and is a lot of fun to do!
