Default How to Rock & Roll

Thanks anyway - I found what I needed.... please ignore...

Can someone please explain the Rock & Roll technique? I've seen it many times and even found threads that point to varios samples but I can't find 'how to do it'. Do you just ink up the stamp with the lighter color first then somehow roll the edges into a darker color pad? Won't this muddy the colors on the ink pads?
