Wow this is just too strange. I could have sworn this bow was part of the Holiday Craft Blitz thing and was trying to find all the bow in that part of the gallery. I just made a dozen of these this morning, I never had so much fun, and the possibilities are just well, endless! However I saw this tip on another thread, and agree, use brads to hold the layers together. It was so easy. After making these today I couldn't imagine using eyelets. Also another tip I figured out today, is to use paper clips. After making each petal, it would pop apart, no matter how much glue I used, liquid or the runner dottie type. So what I did was put the glue on ends of each of the strips, go back and fold the petal, paper clip together and by the time you work down the whole row of petals the glue is set and the petals won't pop apart. This is especially helpful when using glossy paper.
Make sure you try this out on some scrap paper because the cutting part is tricky. I wish a cutting diagram had been included in the tutorial. Cut the 8 1x6 strips first, turn the paper 45 degrees, cut the 1x4, turn the paper 45 degrees and cut out the remaining 4 1x5 strips. It took me 3 tries to figure it out and I hope this makes sense to you when you start cutting.
