how long to dry???
I'm working on a card and I used my Ruby Red ink pad (dye) and colored my white grosgrain ribbon with it to match the card (I'm really into matching--one of the reasons I love SU!) Anyway, I did that about 3 hours ago, and the ribbon is still damp (to where ink comes off on my fingers and paper). How long should this take to dry? I know the craft inks take a while to dry, but I didn't expect this to take so long to dry. I even took my hair dryer to it for a while and it's still damp.
Any suggestions? Or, do I just need to be patient and work on something else? Thanks Oh, and when the card is finally done, I'll upload and post a link to it here. I think it's going to be cool! Jen |
Maybe you could use a heat gun on it...not to close to the ribbon! Let me know if it works.

I would probably take a cloth or paper towel to it and get off the excess. That might help. I usually use the regular pads to color my ribbons, and I often do the same thing. I don't know how long the craft takes to dry.

I have heard but haven't tried this but you can put it in your dryer and that will heat set it. If you use your heat gun as mentioned above, be careful and don't get it too close because it will melt the ribbon. HTH,
