How do they do bleaching?
 

I've seen some amazing cards using the "bleaching" technique - is there a tutorial somewhere on "how to"!! Love to know.

It depends on what kind of bleaching you want to do.
 

First and foremost make sure you have paper that will bleach. Different papers seem to react quite differently to bleach. Second of all make sure you have fresh bleach I personally haven't ever experienced problems but apparently if it's old it won't work.
If you want to just use your stamps and stamp the image you need to create an "ink pad" I've used paper towels that are wetted and it works just fine. Make sure you clean your stamp right away though because bleach can damage them. I've also done images where I've embossed and then painted inside the image to bleach it out. Just make sure you use a brush that has synthetic bristles (like aquapainters) because natural ones will get eaten. Hope this helps.

I don't do a lot of bleaching since I'm highly allergic to it but:

I like to make a "stamp pad" out of while felt. It doesn't break down like a papertowel does. I know some people that stamp in Versamark first to protect the stamp, I haven't had a problem as long as you clean it right after.

I also like to use the Clorox bleach pen when "coloring" sections. I zap it with my heat gun to speed up the bleaching process.

I absolutely love playing with bleach, I do not do it often enough. I read that one of you is allergic to bleach, you can use dishwasher liquid detergent in the same manner as you use bleach. It does not bleach images as heavily as the bleach does but it does a wonderful job and gives a little different look. Happy Stamping!!

I have done a lot of bleaching lately but have been using a brush to apply the bleach to the stamp rather than creating a stamp pad out of paper towels. I just brush on the bleach and stamp. You have to be careful not to apply too much bleach (it will make the image blurry) but it works really well, especially with stamps with lots of fine lines - which really surprised me.

At Stampfest last month, a lady from Sarasota Stamps was doing a demo with bleach. I'd done a little of it before (moons), but she stamped a wolf face on black paper and black embossed it. Then she used an aqua painter loaded with bleach to remove the color from the wolf's face, then she colored it with an aqua painter and chalks. It ended up awesome. Will try soon with my Wolf set. :cool:

I use a bleach pen. I just put some on the stamp and then blotted it off on some paper towels before I stamped it on the paper. I also used the heat gun to dry it quickly. I found that if I let it air dry the paper does not always bleach to white but if I heat it then it does.
