How do I make a window tag?

I am looking at a card posted on 8/25/14 by simplybeautiful. She has created a window using a tag. Can someone please tell me how to recreate it? I tried to send her a pm but her mailbox is full.

Does it look like it was made with a tag die? Can you post a link to the example?

Yes, it does look like it was made with a tag die.

It's the one with the Corner Garden stamp

It's a die by Pretty Pink Posh - here at Ellen Hutson for example. It cuts the tag and the little windows in one.

With a bit of patience though you could do it with a small square/rectangle die and a larger tag die cut if you won't do it often enough to make it worth buying the die. Lay the little die onto the tag and hold in place with a bit of low-tack tape then put it through your machine. Move the die to the next position and repeat until you've cut all the little windows.

HTH!

Thank you very much!

sorry I am just seeing this post, yes it is a die from Pretty, Pink, Posh that makes that window. The stamp is Corner Garden (Stampin Up) There are other die companies that make a die similar, I think Memory Box has one similar

Thank you Ceal. I just purchased this die! Your card was so pretty I just couldn't pass it up. And looking at your other cards, you do beautiful work.

I am my worst critic, thank you for the kind words :)

Another way to do it might be with a square punch. If trying to line up symmetrical punches, punch a few shapes out of post it notes (I love the ones that are sticky over most of the note). Place them on the shape you want to punch, lining them up symmetrically. Then use them as a guide to punch the squares. I hope this makes sense. Wait I found a video from Mary Fish that sort of show this. Let see if this works
