i am making a card using gina K;s cloud technique. I used half of a scallop from the su scallop round punch. and light feathered on greens, pinks and oranges. It came out amazing well, I am going to try it on some canvas, but I will use a chipboard scallop shape.

That was a nice technique. I have a template that is made out of plastic... just cut it with some bigger scallop shapes and I use that bc then you can just wipe the ink off of it and reuse it time and time again!

Here is the link from stampscapes.com for the paper towel technique. It is very similar to the scallop circle method, only you use a torn paper towel. I personally think they look natural this way.
Happy cloud making!

TFS! I too like the more natural look!

Cutesy look vs natural look

I think it makes a big difference what sort of clouds you want. Gina K's way is fine if you want perfect bubbly clouds. The stampscapes video is more natural. I actually prefer something in the middle. I thought I'd try to combine different scallops from punches and nesties, overlap them until I like the shape then glue it all together. Then transfer it to template plastic. Cute but not quite as perfect as using just one size of scalloped circle.

Here is a tutorial I made showing how I create clouds using an acetate template that I made myself

Hi there from Australia!! I have just checked out your cloud tutorial, very clever idea. What fascinated me is your stamp pad storage unit in your craft room. Could you tell me where you got it please or was it another beautiful project of your DH's?
I have been searching for such a storage unit myself. Not available here in Oz at Ikea.
