How to do this????
 

I'm going to try and explain what I'm looking for the best I can and hopefully someone will know what I mean and explain it to me.
Its like when you stamp an image and then directly beside it is the same image except going in the opposite direction. One is done normal and the other is done so it looks like your looking in a mirror. Like I said they are on the same paper with nothing taped on.
Help..................I hope I explained it well enough for someone to help.

I've never done this but I do remember seeing this done a long time back. The lady had what she called a mirror stamp which was just a mounted square of solid rubber. Let me see if I can manage a coherent explanation since I worked all last night and my brain is still kind of fuzzy.

First she stamped the first image on the card.
Stamped the image on the mirror stamp
Stamp the mirror stamp onto the paper.

Believe it or not I actually think I understand you...........he,he,he:-D
Now all I need is a blank piece of rubber and an extra acrylic block or wooden block.

They actually sell mirror image stamps at Michaels or JoAnn's!

Hey! I am new at this and this is my first post! I saw this the other day and my friend tried it. It said to stamp your image on waxed paper and then use that to "stamp" your mirror image on your card. My friend says this worked but the mirrored image is not quite as crisp. Hope this helps!

I posted this card for the smacking acetate technique (for the background) but also used the reflection technique - stamped my image on acetate. (pretend it is now your inked stamp by flipping over onto your card stock so the inked side is down). Then you can stamp your regular image to match up.

I've used the wax paper technique with the summer by the sea set. I used the lady sitting on the boat and when you mirror it with wax paper it comes out a little lighter but it was perfect for the reflection in the water. Rosestamper

I think this idea would work really well with a tree image (like if you were trying to create the look of a reflection on the water). It wouldn't matter so much it the second image was not so crisp. :)

I believe you can do this technique with the rubber attatchment and the brayer. You just ink up your stamp and lay it down rubber side up and then run your brayer over it and then brayer your image onto your paper. Hope that made sense. I have done it once or twice, but it has been a while.

I am with Patti. I prefer to use a piece of acetate to make my mirror images. Stamp your image on your cardstock. Stamp the image again on a piece of acetate. Turn the acetate over, position and lay on cardstock. Rub over it to transfer the ink.

I know you said you wanted them on the same paper with nothing taped on but...it is very easy to use acetate or vellum and stamp on both sides to get the reverse image. Check out this cute post from today.

From what I've read it sounds like the reverse stamp from Michael's seems like the easiest option if you want the image clear and on the same paper with no taping.

I use the wax paper..it works great..if i knew how to put a link to my gallery here i'd do it..it is the mother n foal..loves ya
