Default I went to Home Depot today . . .

and bought stuff to stamp on. I got a few glazed tiles and a box of tumbled tiles. I also got some light switch plates.

What is the best way to seal the ink on the tiles so there is no bleeding or fading? Will the tumbled tiles absorb moisture if I use them for coasters? I've been looking at the tiles in the gallery. They are beautiful! But some of them are embossed. Will moisture affect the embossing? I'm assuming some of y'all have been doing this long enough that you've been able to use them and can tell me what to do or not to do. I want to give some as gifts and don't want them to bleed, smear, fade, etc. Thanks in advance for any information you can share.

If you seal them, they will not absorb water anymore. I use an acrylic sealer (spray) I found at Michael's. I chose not to seal one just to see what would happen, and even the Staz-On started to bleed after a bit of use. :(

I've never had any problem with them after I've sealed them. I've never embossed one though, so I can't help you there.

thanks. Maybe I'll get a chance to play with them tomorrow. and if I give them as gifts or sell them, I'll include a note that they aren't absorbent. Thanks again.
